My final 8th week of the training is all about tapering, rest, eating healthy food and rest again. Unfortunately, it's not valid at work. I am still busy as usual with overbooked patients :(  London weather is not that great this week. We had scorching heat up to 38C on one of the day and I lost my good rest at nights as I had trouble to sleep well due to the heat.                                I managed to do 2 days of bike commute to work as usual. I swam open water at the afternoon one day and managed to swim 1300m within 37mins. The quickest pace on the record of my training so far. I only did 2.5k treadmill run. Blame the heat and also another 300m quick pool swim session at one morning. This is now about the mind game. I felt more anxious counting down to the big day. WEEK 1 MONDAY   I did some runnings on the weekend. So this Monday I took a rest day TUESDAY My energy started to kick in or possibly I was super excited with this new journey a head. I did a body pump class at my Virgin Gym in the  morning before started my clinic. Surprisingly, I managed to control my anxiety and and started to slowly back to front crawl again. I managed to do total 1080m total swim including 9x40m with kick board in between. WEDNESDAY The weather is nice. So, I decided to cycle to work for 8.3km to my Barbican clinic and 9.3km return home. Total journey 1 hr and 1 mins. It's tough to get faster than that when you cycle in ce

I was not very active since having children. Having 2 girls with just 18 months apart kept me busy already. Since back to work full time, my life became more and more hectic. I had to see many patients in a day. The stress level is high and this when I decided I had to change my lifestyle to keep me going. I started to look around for gym membership and fell in love with indoor cycling class. The dynamic of the class boosting my energy to keep going and gain more confidence to do something more. I was then started to run in March 2017. Not a speedy one though but I am happy to say that I am a runner now. I used to hate running but then fell in love so quick with it. I started with just C25K then had my first 10k less than 2  months after that and my 1st Half Marathon less than a yea
